GENTINGS Casino has announced the start date for work on its spectacular new home in Southport’s £30m Waterfront development.
The company signed up to be part of The Waterfront before the £30m development was completed and has been waiting for the right market conditions to move from its old premises on Lord Street and into its new state-of-the-art home.
The fit-out is believed to be costing in excess of £2m and work will begin in September.
Gentings Casino plan to open the doors to the first customers early next year and the casino will include the very latest gaming technology.
Neptune Developments is the company behind The Waterfront scheme. Managing director Steve Parry said: “We are delighted with this news. We have been eagerly awaiting the news that Genting are ready to move to The Waterfront and we have already started to receive an increased level of enquiries about the remaining units.”
The Waterfront was completed in 2008 and the Ramada Plaza Hotel opened in October that year.
